Renewable energy is energy obtained from natural resources that can be naturally replenished or renewed within a human lifespan (sustainable source of energy). Natural resources such as wind, sunshine and flowing water are not at risk of depletion from their use for energy production. Biomass is also considered as a renewable resource if its rate of consumption does is not higher than its rate of regeneration. A variety of energy-generation technologies and equipment are available to harness these natural resources in a sustainable manner. Usable energy can be produced in the form of electricity, industrial heat and transportation fuels. . 

For the past three years, Danito Technologies Company has been actively involved in the development and dissemination of appropriate technology for rural and peri-urban areas. Some of the technologies being promoted include waste-to-energy, photovoltaic (PV) systems, micro-gasifiers as well as small scale hydro systems (pico, micro and mini-hydro).
